The pods at Golden Sands Holiday Park were absolutely fantastic. They were clean and well-maintained, with plenty of space both inside and outside. I loved how they were tucked away in a quiet part of the site, away from the bustling caravans. The toilet and shower block, although a bit dated, were perfectly clean, and the showers were hot and powerful. Plus, the pods were equipped with multiple sockets and even USB ports, which was super convenient. The location of the pods was also great, within walking distance of local shops, takeaways, a funfair, and the beach. And while we only ventured into the main part of the complex once, the evening kids entertainment was absolutely fabulous.
While the main highlights of my stay at Golden Sands Holiday Park were fantastic, there were a couple of drawbacks worth mentioning. the food menu in the restaurant was limited and quite expensive.

Our Christmas stay at the camping pods was enjoyable. the pods were warm, clean, and comfortable, providing a cozy atmosphere. the location of the pods was excellent, with a short walk to the facilities, the beach, and the train station. We also appreciated the fantastic entertainment provided during our stay.
Despite emailing ahead to confirm its accessibility, we were disappointed to find out that there were no spaces available. the cleanliness of the toilets and showers left much to be desired.

The location of the camping pods was ideal for exploring nearby attractions like Dawlish Warren. the pods provided comfortable beds and had electricity for charging phones. the showers had good heat and water pressure.
The communal toilets and showers had some limitations, such as being locked from the outside and not having a lock on the inside. This could potentially be a safety concern in case of emergencies.

Comfortable beds, ideal location, explore Dawlish Warren, attractions in walking distance, car and train exploration, linen and electricity provided, great swimming pool, warm pool, adventure playground, proximity to Dawlish Warren and Dawlish, clubhouse on sister site, cleaner and more modern, close to train station, great daily entertainment, fantastic staff, good meals at nearby restaurants, surprising takeaway service

Immaculate and comfortable with warm beds and phone charging sockets. the location was quiet and parking by the pod was convenient. the staff were very helpful and the bathroom and toilet facilities were excellent, cleaned five times a day. the pods were like wooden tents with cozy beds and electricity, a great alternative to camping.
Felt like a home away from home, nothing was too much trouble.

We had an amazing time at Golden Sands Holiday Park. the entertainment staff at the club were fantastic, making our stay fun and enjoyable. It was a pleasant surprise to find that they could actually sing! the pool area was clean and the camping pods were nice and tidy. the staff went out of their way to help us whenever we needed assistance. the location was ideal for exploring Dawlish Warren and other nearby towns and cities like Salcombe, Torquay, Exeter, and Teignmouth. We loved the comfortable beds, linen, and having electricity in the pods for charging our phones overnight. Mark, the maintenance/site manager, made our stay even better with his excellent service. We would also like to thank Clairemarie, who worked hard in the kitchen and took great care of us during breakfasts and evening meals. Nothing was too much trouble. the only thing we would change for next time is to rent a pod with our own toilet and shower for convenience at night.
Absolutely nothing to say about dislikes. 😊.

The pods were nice and warm, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. The location of the pods was excellent, as they were close to the beach, playground, and green areas. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, and they even provided us with a kettle and cups. The shower and toilet facilities were conveniently located nearby and always clean. we had a great time and enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere.
Couldn't recommend this hotel more.

The location of the Camping Pods is perfect, with just a short walk to the beach and nearby shops and cafes. the pods themselves are clean and spacious, providing a cosy and comfortable stay. the staff at reception are cheerful and helpful, making the overall experience pleasant.
One negative aspect is the cleanliness of the showers and toilets, which could be improved to meet the standards of a glamping experience.
